Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling: Book review
J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series is witches, wizards and magic. The books have an interesting plot, well known among teenagers. It is an escape from reality; a world with simple language and fun adventures. Harry Potter is the main character of this series and is accompanied by his friends and other characters that are introduced in the books.
In the book "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'', J. K. Rowling introduces the world of magic to the readers in a very interesting manner. The book is well written. It is hard to put the book down as the the story has one completely immersed in it. The plots are well thought out and the story is smooth flowing with good climax and satisfying conclusions.
The story describes how Harry Potter was forced to live with his uncle and aunt after the passing of his parents. He was an extra ordinary boy but he, himself was unaware of his capabilities. Harry was forced to live with his aunt and uncle, who considered the gifted boy a burden. So you can imagine how thrilled Harry was to realize he was a wizard and would be attending a school for wizardry and magic. There he met his two best friends: Hermoine Granger and Ron Weasley. This iconic trio came across adventures throughout the series. They came across giant trolls, teachers who disliked them, magical philosopher's stones and so much more.
This book is a wonderful start to the entire series and is definitely something I would read again. This series has such a big fanbase for a reason and the author has worked hard to create this magical world for her readers.
