Canvas Chronicles: My Creative Evolution

I have been drawing and coloring since I was old enough to hold a crayon. I loved to color when I was younger and I was always encouraged by my parents. Even as a kid, I viewed coloring as an escape. I was fascinated by the fact that my own hands were capable of creating something and that alone brought me immense joy. I went to drawing classes when I was around the age of 4.  My teacher saw me grow up. She taught me everything- from holding a crayon to creating lines that turn into art. I went for those classes for a majority of my childhood and I will always be thankful to her and my parents for nurturing my creative side. I will be turning 18 this year and thinking about how art has been a constant in my life for such a long time amazes me. My relationship with art has not been an easy one, I had instances when I felt I wasn't good enough and that I should try harder.
